Nitrox supressed his surprise. "What do you mean? I created these, though these stones were given to me."
There was that box... I remember... All that was in it was a... ring... and... two stones...

"Why don't you two get a room AFTER we deal with the Black Knights!" MoA yells at Nitrox and Selena.

Meanwhile Malistyrax takes a stance, and draws Darkscale. He strikes at the wall, but only leaves a deep gouge. "Edge," Malistyrax says quietly sheathing Darkscale. Edge hurries to Malistyrax, and with a single motion Malistyrax signals what he wants done.

Edge's arm transforms into a very dangerous looking cannon. Using his free arm to steady the cannon, it starts to charge. "You all may want to move before I fire."

Leslie backed up quite a bit, not wanting to get hit by the backlash of whatever Edge was planning.

Alexis, on the other hand, just took two steps back and raised a rather large shield between herself and the wall, so as not to get hit by any flying debris.

Selena rolled her eyes at MoA and backed up out of the line of fire. She walked over to Nitrox. "My name is Selena. And before I answer your question, how about explaining what you're doing here? Just who are these Black Knights that you seem to be fighting?"

"Like you wanna know," said Nitrox. He backed down the safe, trap deactivated hallway, but couldn't resist firing an N sphere that hit MoA square in the back. Just so I don't seem like I'm backing down. He's gonna get a lot from me. thought Nitrox as he smiled.

MoA stumbles slightly from the NX sphere, but his eyes narrow toward Nitrox in recognition.

Edge finishes charging, and he fires his cannon. A bolt of visible energy strikes the solid wall, and it flattens against the wall, and then it explodes. Immediatly dust rises obscuring all visibility, and then there is the distinct clash of metal on metal and edge impacts a far wall crushing the wall in and Edge's prone body falls toward Nitrox, and rubble from the wall falls toward Selena. Tenetacles bound in metal lash out of the hole, grabbing Eclipse, and Fuse. A third tentacle shatters Alexis's shield and wraps around her lifing her off the floor.

"What the - " Selena let go of her stuff and pointed up towards the falling rubble. A large bubble of hazy air shot from her finger and encompassed the debris, which began to fall in slow motion. Selena got out from underneath the time sphere, then grabbed her sickles and quickly started taking stock of what was happening. "I am so glad I didn't break through that door earlier," she thought, shocked.

Alexis frowned as she was lifted off the floor. I clearly need to work on making better shields. Focusing, Alexis sent a large number of energy blasts out. Most of them attacked the tentacle holding her in the air, but a few went to attack the tentacles holding Eclipse and Fuse.

Leslie stepped up so that she had a clear line of fire at the hole and whatever could be hiding behind it and sent a sonic yell into the hole.

Nitrox braced himself and caught Edge, but the impact sent him to the ground as air wooshed out of him. Nitrox took a couple seconds to shake it off. "You alright? Nice firepower..." he said to Edge.

Thick armor fused to the tentacles deflect Alexis's attacks.

Leslie's sonic attack causes something big to stumble, and then a long tentacle covered in spikes lashes out intent on killing Amp.

Fuse attempts to assimilate the tentacle, but with no machinery or electronics it is a futile effort. She then focus's an energy beam on the tentacle.

Eclipse transforms into mist and drifts out of the tentacle, then as she reforms she uses TK to unwrap the tentacle around Alexis. "Scruffy the joints, use your sword!" Imbetween the massive armor plates are indeed thin joints that a sword could cut.

Edge grumbles slightly feeling the massive dent in his chest. "Cast off," he says ejecting his bulky outer layer of armor. Edge draws his sword, and disappears using his stealth unit.

Malistyrax takes a deep breath and he throws a firecrusher illuminating the inner chamber. A massive creature, like a twisted centaur is inside the chamber. It has sick blue/gray skin, and it is immensely disgusting to look at. "Somniac," Malistyrax hisses covering his nose to block its foul stench.

((It all seems so familiar...))
Nitrox overheard Eclipse and ran to the closest tentacle. He jammed a kunai laced with NX. He backed away and the kunai exploded.

Selena also heard Eclipse's warning. She ran to a tentacle lashing out some feet away and caught in a time sphere, slowing its movements. Selena positioned herself so that she had a clear shot, then quickly released the time sphere and slashed at the joint.

Nitrox, and Selena sever two tentacles.

Edge reappears in time to sever a tentacle sneaking up on Selena. He vanishes nearly immediatly after reappearing.

Malistyrax takes a fighting stance and with a swing of his sword he severs three tentacles armor and all. "Attack the body!" He yells in a commanding tone.

Chimera and Lycan both attack the Somniac's hind legs causing it to rear up exposing its unarmored underbelly.

Alexis, who was stabbing away at tentacles using her swords, heard Malistyrax's yell and quickly switched to shooting off energy blasts at the Somniac's body.

Leslie, who was staying out of range of the tentacles, moved until she had a clear shot and let loose another sonic yell at the creature.

The combined attack from Amp and Alexis cause the Somniac to flip over, with a bone-crunching thud. It was clearly dead before it finished flipping.

Malistyrax steps over the Somniac's body and enteres the chamber. Inside is a large altar upon which a cross-shaped claymore sits. The Chamber is too large even to house the Somniac, but it is apparently unguarded now. Some bones, from a creature apparently long eaten by the Somnaic are all that is left aside from the claymore and the Somniac's corpse.
"Is that the sword girl?" Malistyrax asks Selena, while pondering whe the sword looks familar.
