Nitrox used NX to full-out sprint the rest of the way up the building and pushed off. He backfliped, roled over and unfurled his wings just as the explosive energy passed beneath him and annhilated the skyscraper he just launched himself off of. He returned fire with five NX spheres aimed in Alexis's general direction and started to head in her direction, making sure he was high and far away enough to not get hit by any shrapnel.

With a grin, Alexis let herself drop in a downward spiral. The orbs flew through where she had been moments before. Catching herself in mid-fall, Alexis whirled. "What will it take to make you give up already? You can't possibly beat me." She said all this as she created three energy daggers behind nitrox and sent them flying at him. The talking was meant as a distraction to keep him from noticing the attack.

Seriously, does she think talking will do her any good? thought Nitrox. He was too focused to care what she said, but it still annoyed the &%#$ out of him. I'll just have to give her something to concentrate on, rather than freakin' talking. Nitrox tilted his body into a dive and attacked with several NX spheres in the process, kunai claw ready to strike.

As Nitrox dived, Alexis changed the course of her energy daggers to follow him. Eventually they'll catch up. Alexis figured. She created a shield between herself and Nitrox. "Rushing in is foolish if you can't pull up in time." She said.

((...I swear that I posted. Oh well, I'll do something else later.))

Again with the talking? Nitrox thought. Of course he could pull up in time; he would just need to pull up earlier. The problem was that once he would slow down he would fall for whatever he supposed Alexis was doing, since she wasn't doing anything at the moment. But there was one easy way out of this.
Nitrox shielded so he could move in any direction without Alexis seeing him.

"Oh there's something new," Alexis said, though it was hard to tell whether she was being sarcastic or not. Her first action was to expand the shield into a 360 bubble. She then sacrificed her dagger attack to create a huge minefield of energy orbs around herself, just tightly packed enough that Nitrox wouldn't be able to fit through. "Try this one on for size."

Rintuk would take one more long lick to his wound as it began to close up, the skin reattaching itself slowly, but it could be seen. He growled low in his throat as he leapt up onto the bar and perched there, analyzing the area for the two that were battling, Alexis, he thought her name was, if he was interpreting right.

"Alexis...", he waited for a response before he'd continue, "Whenever you want my help now, just tell me what to do."

Rintuk leapt higher, up the terraces that stretched up the building that he had been hidden upon. He moved higher to have a point better to his vantage. The claws on the back of his front legs extended, becoming physical weapons for him to use, as well as better grips to launch himself further up the building. Once reaching the roof, he would pause and wait for any order from Alexis.

Nitrox pulled up, still shielded, and took a quick glance at the situation. He saw Rintuk climb up the building and figured it was his time to talk, in order to come up with various plans.
"So now you stay there hiding behind a shield with bombs covering you? Are you just going to sit there until I decide to commit suicide? Or are you going to send Rintuk after me while you sit there, helplessly, since you can't kill me!" taunted Nitrox. His voice echoed all over the place and he made sure to stay moving as to not give away his position.

"Oh, I wouln't assume that I am helpless." Alexis told Nitrox. "I have plenty of moves to use against you." She then turned her head to look at Rintuk. "Can you hear words if I say them in my head, or do I have to speak aloud?"

"Yes, let's continue to hear you babble," said Nitrox, unshielding above and a ways away from her as to conserve NX.
"I have plenty of moves to use against you, but I won't use any of them and just tell Rintuk to kill you," he said in a mocking tone. Reverting back to normal, "Seriously, I was eagerly anticipating battling energy versus energy some more, but if you want to stay locked up in a cocoon..."

Alexis had been waiting for some sign of Nitrox. As soon as he became visible, she began focusing all the orbs of energy so that they'd rocket towards Nitrox on cue. She smiled as he finished talking. "Very well then. How's this for energy?" Her eyes blazed purple as the shield disappeared and the orbs shot off at Nitrox. About half of them exploded upon coming within range, a few would explode on contact, and a small number of speedy ones zipped past Nitrox, turned around, and came at him from behind.

Rintuk's tail twitched in annoyance to Nitrox, but he responded to Alexis, "Either, though thoughts are prefered. If you allow me access to your mind, then I can listen to your thoughts." He paced on top of the building for a moment before lowering to rest on his haunches near the edge of the building.

"Seriously?" said Nitrox. He ran a good half mile to the left once he saw movement, waited until he heard the dust settle, and ran back to the exact same yet annhilated spot. "Stop throwing stuff at me and attack me! I want to go home, and it won't help if you just stand around throwing orbs left and right at me."

Alexis's eyes narrowed. "Oh fine..." She muttered, then created a twin pair of swords out of energy, similar to the real ones she had lost in her being brought here. She rushed at Nitrox, swords out in front of her. She feigned left, then rolled right in mid air to slash at Nitrox's side.
