Ah Rampage, how you fascinate me. Possesed by a demon at a young age, but the demon was sealed. It emerged years later when a near death experience left the original host dying. The sealed demon somehow merged with the body, so that whenever he becomes stressed he begins transforming into a demon. The angrier he gets the stronger and more demonic he becomes. Draconious notes watching with great interest.

Rampage's skin has steadily become rougher and scalier to the point that he is now fireproof. Nitrox's NX actually fails to penetrate the muscle in Rampage's neck, and Alexis's energy is deflected.

Redox's attack is actually the most effective of them all, it succedes in bringing Rampage to his knees. His size also decreases, his black spikes retract, and his tail gets smaller.

Nitrox saw this and knew what needed to be done. "People, go for containment, not attack." He backed off and started generating more NX.

Redox continued to sap Rampage's oxygen.

As Nitrox spoke, Selena's power ran dry and she was forced to release her grip on Rampage. "Watch out - I can't contain his movements any longer!" Selena too backed away and concentrated on recharging her energy as fast as possible.

"sorry buddy," charge said aiming her grenade launcher "this is going to hurt" she fired a grenade right into rampage's crotch

mhantra attempted to trap rampage with his ice breath again

"Let's try..." Alexis began, talking solely to herself as she thought out her next move. She focussed her energy into a long, rope-like form and flew around Rampage, trying to tie him up in the energy rope.

On the verge of passing out Rampage's adrenaline gives him what is often called a second wind, except in Rampage's case his skin start changing to an orange color. His spikes and tail return, and he increases in size, reaching 10 feet tall.

"RAMPAGE BREAK PUNY MORTALS!" It screams inhaling based on pure strength. Rampage then inhales again and breaths silver hellfire at the group.

Alexis did a mid-air roll out of the way and quickly raised a shield to keep the silver fire from hitting anyone. "Keep him in place," She calmly suggested to the group.

Leslie tried to lower the volume of Rampage's yells even more. "Will you ever shut up?" She muttered to herself.

mhantra boosts the amount of ice coming out of his mouth

"Alexis, put a bubble over his head!" said Nitrox as his Scope flashed "OVER 9000!".

Redox teleported behind the shield and gathered the oxygen he gained into his hands. He then directed it around the energy shield and then around Rampage's face. Redox then snapped his fingers, causing a spark and the oxygen flamed to life, just in case the silver hellfire didn't thrive on oxygen and backfire on Rampage.

Selena sprinted as fast as she could and ducked down behind the shield just in time. As Redox engulfed Rampage's head, Selena locked Ramgape's feet in a time stop once more and hung on for all she was worth. The strain was enormous; "I'll be using my own life force for energy at this rate! Hurry and knock him out!"

Abruptly the entire dimension undergoes an event called a spacequake: the empty space of the nexus abruptly shudders, causing multiple space ananomolies to appear in the very fabric of reality around them.

Draco stands from his throne, and with a whim Redox's attack, Selena's time sphere, Alexis's shield, and Rampage vanish.

"That spacequake signifies something is wrong, and you idiots are going to explain it, slowly, while the guardians convene at the hub."

We're the idiots again... Great...
Nitrox breathed heavily, still working on building up NX. He began storing it in his left gem.
Redox stood tall and still, thinking to himself.

"Well," Alexis started, trying to explain things as she looked around at the space anomalies, "There's a good chance this is because there's something running around possessing Malistyrax's body and causing issues." And meanwhile, we're stuck here fighting for the chance to set things right. She thought, not wanting to voice her entire opinion and get someone more powerful than her angry.

Leslie nervously looked around. "Shouldn't we be going somewhere safer, like, I dunno... HOME?!?"

Upon the removal of her time sphere, Selena collasped onto her knees, gasping for breath. "What else is there to explain? Malistyrax is possessed by a thing that likes combining chaos and dimensional portals; isn't that good enough?" She thought, too exhausted to speak.
