What is the reason for the karma points? They just for looks or what?

Lol! They're just a little thing that comes with the forum. Supposedly if you like what someone does, then you hit the + button. If you dislike something you hit the - button. It's like a popularity thing since you can't edit your own karma. I can disable it (I think) if you wanted, but I figured I might as well leave it up.
