Mira attempted to take on one of the demon raiders, slashing at it with her sword.

Mira manages to kill the last demon raider in the room with her wild strikes.

Zanek pauses to look around and he takes an object off a table. "This is germanic, these raiders have been busy all over the land." A nearby staircase looks inviting, so Zanek heads toward it. "The master of a stronghold is always found at the top, come on and for the love of god be quiet."

Zanek ascends the stairs slowly.

Great. Now we'll try stealth, but since Zanek told us to be quiet, we're screwed, thought Max as he followed, sword still at the ready.

Mira followed along behind the others, looking back over her shoulder at the room of dead demon raiders a few times.

As the group ascends the stair there is a minor breeze, but as the group clims higher the breeze becomes a gale, and then when it is too late to stop the wind abruptly becomes like a hurricane and then the winds becomes deafening and then it becomes strong enough to pull the group up the stair case, only dumping them at the top of the fortress where the black armored Shadowlord waits, wind swirling around its armor like a decoration.

"?dlrow siht yortsed ot hsiw uoy od" It asks in its strange way of speaking.

Mira gave the Shadowlord a funny look, not sure of what to make of him. He looks like that guy we saw before, but I don't think that guy could make wind work like that. She tightened her grip on her sword.

well this may be tricky, i wont be able to fly mhantra thinks, drawing his knifes

Max's glove started to glow and he readied his shield and sword. "Can't you speak... Normal or something?" Max asked the Shadowlord.

"!em rewsna" The Shadowlord hisses. It plucks a piece of a shadow and quickly forms it into a massive broadsword, it threatens the group with its sword as wind all around the room starts to pick up.

Zanek raises his claymore, and he takes a deep breath. "Mhantra hang back wait for its defense to go down and then attack it with your dragon-ice. Magine, Max take the lead, buy me a few moments to cast a spell, Mira don't cut yourself on that sword." He cracks open his reconstructed bible, and flips to a spell. Zanek starts reciting the spell, in a trance.

Mira bit her lip. Great advice, I guess, but how do we beat this thing? And what am I supposed to do? When Max did not immediately take the lead like Zanek had requested, Mira decided to step up. Someone has to get in there. Might as well be me. She slowly edged forward, trying to be ready for whatever the Shadowlord might throw at her while not outright attacking him.

Max's glove was done charging. He wielded his sword and the blue light began to climb up the sword. I don't know how exactly I'm doing this... But we'll go with it... He ran at the Shadowlord and slashed at him.

The Shadowlord easily parries Mira's strike, and then it brushes her aside. "dlihc kcab llaf esaelP," The Shadowlord says turning its complete attention to Mira.

Max's sword stabs through the Shadowlord's armor, and it stumbles in pain, but it abruptly recovers as if unharmed and it uses a concentrated burst of wind to slam Nitrox into the far wall, leaving Max's sword still impaled in its chest.

Mira made a confused face. While she couldn't understand what the Shadowlord was saying, something about it's actions made her think it didn't want to fight her. Mira puzzled over this one for a moment, then backed up against a wall to see what would happen next.

Max held his shield out in front of him and got up. He got his breathing back and bolted for the Shadowlord. Getting my sword back would be nice...
