The upper half of the Nightmare Beast rears up onto its hands, lashing at anything in front of it, including two demon raiders, Max, Magine, and Mira.

The lead demon raider slowly starts to spin his flail, but two demon raiders ambush Mhantra, they wrap two flail chains around his arms, leaving him open for the leader who spins his flail at full speed, and aims for a killing strike.

Zanek hears Mira's whistles and he gets out of his daze. The blind lower half of the Nightmare Beast flails around wildly with its tentacles. Zanek prays quickly, and then he shakes his head. "I'm too old for this," he says running. He dashes straight at the Nightmare beast, and despite his left gauntel up getting stripped off by a spiked tentacle he leaps onto the Nightmare Beasts back. He plunges the claymore into its back, and then he runs down its back nearly slicing the beast in half. Taking the claymore with him he keeps hurrying but he cannot decide who needs more help, Mira or Mhantra.

Max kneeled and put up his shield. "Mira, get down! Magine, you're on, after I cause a small distraction to save a life," said Max. His glove glowed and he pointed at Mhantra. His hawk appeared and swooped at the lead deamon raider, cawing to get someone's attention.

Max proceeded to confront the upper half with his shield up, slashing at any appendage that came his way.

mhantra roars as he body changes into his true form, breaking him free from the raider's hold. he fires a blast of ice at the lead raider. then takes to the air.

Mira kept trying to avoid the Nightmare Beast, while staying close enough to be able to help if needed. Auberon ran for the forest to try to find a new angle to attack from.

Mhantra's ice blast disperses Max's hawk, but does little against the lead demon raider's heavy armor. An unnatural blast of wind presses down on Mhantra causing him to crash.

Zanek reaches Max and Magine and he severs a tentacle with his claymore. "Its other eye!" He yells using his claymore as a shield.

Max got right up to the Beast, bashed away one more appendage with his shield, jumped, and stabbed at its eye.

((*sigh* hard playing a character with little to no personal attack power. Should have planned ahead better.))

Mira frowned. I am absolutely no help!

Auberon came out of the woods next to her. These opponents are stronger than us.

Won't stop me from trying... Mira thought as she waited for an opportunity to assist.

Mhantra lands on his feet, it was a hard landing though. he growls at the air, trying to find the origin of that blast of wind.

magine jumps at the nightmare beast's humanoid. grabs its arm, sends her momentum to land herself on the back of the beasts back, wile she slices off the head of the beast with her sword.

The Nightmare Beast is finally dead, but they do not feel victory in the air. Raather the air is suddenly heavy with foreboding, and even the forest animals hurry off to their homes. A small tornado gathers in front of them. The spinning winds vanish leaving only a figure. At first the figure seems vaugly human, but then it stands to its full eight feet of height. Its armor is black, and visible through the slats in its helm are a pair of brilliant orange eyes. Elemental wind gilds its armor, and in its left hand it holds a massive two handed great sword.
"!Htaed ecaf Shadowlord ot wob" It says to the adventureres.

Mira took a step back from this new being. What is it? I can't understand half of what it is saying...

Um, hi? thought Max. He wiped his sword on the ground and readied his shield.

mhantra returns to his human form, satisfied with the thought of the abnormal wind originating from this newcomer.

magine stands strait up, with her sword at her side, trying not to look threatening wile still having her sword ready incase she needs to defend herself

"!Shadowlord tcepsersid erad uoY !ecnelosnI" The Shadowlord says creating a forcible gust of wind. "!eid, eniF" It says, and the wind increases more. It raises its weapon, and then the two handed sword floats aloft on a wind current. The wind increases still more, and in a sudden wave of dust the two handed sword vanishes.

Zanek falls, impaled on the two handed sword.

((Yup. I do! But Mira doesn't. It's the type of thing you only understand written down. Which makes it funny...))

It was times like these that Mira wanted to be able to scream. Not talk, just scream. Her face frozen in a look of horror, Mira ran to Zanek's side. No! Don't die! You're my friend! She shook him a little, trying to get a response out of him. What do I do? I'm not a healer or a warrior...

mhantra and magine rush to zanek's side.

mhantra stands infront of them, in a battle stance ready to protect his friends.

magine tends to zanek. "mira, can you get your animal friends to find the herbs zanek needs, and quick"
