After their narrow survival of the Shadowlord's attack the group has taken refuge in a bizarre cathedral that seems to have wandered to their location out of need. The sole priest and nun have taken good care of the group and healed Zanek's wounds, but as they have stayed in the cathedral Zanek has grown weaker and weaker.

Since their initial arrival the group has never seen the priest and nun together at all, and the cathedral itself is rather odd. Despite looking like a cathedral the inside is decorated with ornate columns, a large room that seems more like a throne room, and nearly all the other rooms are filled with gold from alleged 'offerings' despite the priest lacking a community to preach to.

Despite a large silver cross in the throne room in addition to Zanek's Sanctus Judicium, the entire Catheral has a subtle malevolent feel, and every now and then someone catches the scent of something that can only be described as Death.

((Hmm... why do I have the slightest feeling I know where we are...))

Mira sat on the floor near Zanek's bed, a bit too nervous of the Cathedral to go too far from him. Auberon had left soon after they'd gotten there, but now Mira was wishing she'd asked him to stay. She'd tried finding mice to talk to, or some other form of animal life hiding inside the Cathedral, but so far she'd had no luck. So, she spent most of her time sitting near Zanek, trying to be patient.

magine and mhantra come walking into the cathedral

magine is carrying over his shoulders a deer with a freshly cut throat.

magine is wiping off and refastening to her belt her wide mouth bottle. "has his condition improved?"

Mira shrank back from Magine, looking at the dead deer in sympathy for the creature. Oh please let that not have been one I knew... She thought. Trying not to react too strongly, Mira shrugged her shoulders a bit in response to her question.

Max walked in too. "Yeah, I don't like the feel of this place... I walk around and I feel like I'm doomed..."

Zanek weakly groans from his bed. His head rolls to the side and a pair of fresh, but faint scars are on his neck.

There is knock, and the nun enters the room. She is carrying bandages and wash tub. "It is time for his next treatment. He has damage inside his body that has yet to be repaired, so I will change his bandages, and begin healing him, but we require solitude."

((I knew it! *does an 'I-got-it-right' dance*))

Mira gave Zanek a worried glance, but got up to leave. I sure hope she can help him... And I hope that we can get out of here soon. I wish I could help... Mira started to head for the door, but paused before she reached it, waiting to see if the others were coming with her.

"Come on," said Max to Mira. He walked out of the door, but not before discreetly summoning his hawk. He made it extremely faint so that it would be unnoticable. Max then motioned for Mira to follow.

mhantra and magine follows them out.

mhantra sits against a wall, rips one of the legs off the deer and starts to chow down. he looks up from his meal for a second "anyone want some, there's more than enough to go around"

Mira, who had followed Max out, went wide-eyed at Mhantra's question, shook her head violently, then hid behind Max so she wouldn't have to look at the gory deer carcass.

From within Zanek's room there is a faint yell, or rather a gasp, that is followed by silence.

magine's curiosity is risen by the noise, she cracks the door open and peeks inside

Mira stayed put, not wanting to get closer to the door when there could be something bad behind it. I hope Zanek is okay...

The Nun, Sister Victoria, has abandonned most of her uniform, and she is attacking Zanek, who is feebily attempting to resist her.

magine bursts through the door, grabs the nun, sinking her teeth into the nun's neck.
