The Somniac recoils slightly, but then it steadies itself. It inhales deeply and spits a sticky glob of acid at Mhantra.

"That's new," Zanek says too loud for comfort. "Dive!" He yells at Mhantra

mhantra dives, dodging the glob of acid. he retaliates with another blast of ice while he retreats, flying into the sun.

The ice does little other than forming a sheet of ice on the Somniac's right arm.

Zanek taps Mhantra to get his attention. "Aim for its face!" he yells. Zanek takes a precarious stance on Mhantra, and somewhat balances. Zanek cracks open his bible, and starts fumbling for a spell.

mhantra sighs, he then tilts to one side and turns around. doing another flyby mhantra aims this time for the larger of the sominiacs two faces

Mira watched the Somniac below them, beginning to feel rather uncomfortable with the height. A flock of birds flew by, and Mira immediately took advantage of the opportunity. You're going to want to get out of here! She warned them. Tell anyone in the area, and warn them of that thing. The birds all banked away from Mhantra and flew in the other direction. Mira hoped that they'd clear the area. I don't want any animals being hurt...

Max looked to see if he could help, but a fall could injure him. He crossed his arms. I can't do anything without someone thinking I'm too weak!

"You fool," Zanek says reading Max's expression. "Knowing your limits is a sign of intelligence. Exceeding them is a sign of strength!" Zanek finds the spell he wanted, but when Mhantra tilts Zanek gets jostled and drops his bible. "NO!" Zanek yells practically leaping off Mhantra.

The somniac takes a face full of ice, but it abrutly rears up and strikes Mhantra with its tentacles, slamming him into a thicket of trees, and ejecting his riders in random directions. The Somniac claws at its head, and clears the ice away, but at the same time the rapid temperature change causes his armor to crack slightly around its right eye, and at the shoulder.

The Somniac focuses in on the down Mhantra, and raises its arm swords to gut Mhantra.

magine makes a semi rough landing on a branch and looks over to see mhantra smack the somniac away with his tail. magine jumps off the branch towards the somniac and stabs it in the back

Mira hit the ground hard, but quickly got back to her feet. Time for me to be useful! She decided, yanking her new sword out of its scabbard. She had a moment of confusion where she couldn't decide what to do with the scabbard, having never had a sword before, but she eventually tucked it under her arm and hoped that she could fight like that.

Looking over at the Somniac, Mira's burst of determination was quickly tempered with insecurity. Maybe I'd better go help Zanek find his bible first... With that thought in mind, she hurried towards where she thought she'd seen the bible fall, trying to keep a tight grip on her sword and its scabbard as she ran.

Max smoothly hit the ground and saw Mira go for the Bible. He knew that his work was elsewhere. Maybe the ice weakened it, plus with the distraction...
Max began to run with intense fosus on his target: the damaged head. As he got closer to the Somniac, he felt himself run faster...

Magine's sword wedges between two armor plates on the Somniac's back. Taking notice of Max the Somniac spits acid at him.

Zanek meanwhile is hung up in the upper branches of one of the trees Mhantra crashed into. His armor is caught in several places and he is thoroughly trapped and hardly able to move.

Mira finally spotted the bible and picked it up. Now where did... Oh good grief... She thought as she spotted Zanek. Hurrying over to the tree, Mira set down the bible, sword, and scabbard at the base of the tree before scurrying up the tree with ease till she reached Zanek. Carefully, she set about freeing Zanek's armor, being careful not to harm the tree in the process.

mhantra bites down over the head and shoulders of the humanoid portion of the somniac and starts saking it around.

magine holds onto her sword for dear life.
