The Somniac's armor protects its from most of Mhantra's attack, and then the Somniac coils its larger tentacles around him. The tentacles start squeezing him tighter and tighter.

"Mira I don't think you've thought this through, if you release me, I'm going to fall!"

Max jumped at an incredible height due to the burst of speed. A faint blue trail emantated from behind him. He sailed through the air at the Somniac's head and slashed at it with his sword.

magine pulled her sword out of the somniac with an incredible burst of strength and started hacking the tentacles off of mhantra

Magine severs one of the larger tentacles wrapped around Mhantra. It lashes around wildly and smashes Magine into a tree.

The somniac's armor cracks slightly deeper and then the Somniac catches Max across the abdomen with its arm blade and throws him to the ground.

Zanek swallows, and flexes his arms. "Mira I this fall kills me, and somehow they kill the Somniac, tell Max not to touch my things." With the branches loosened Zanek pulls free of the tree and hits the ground hard. He just lays there not moving.

((*looks at Zanek's comment* OK...))
Max just now realized how much he was vibrating. Everywhere he looked, everything seemed to be slightly blue. These inquisitive thoughts escaped his mind though as he was losing blood. He got back up, though, and ran directly under the Somniac and stabbed it in its chest, all in the blink of an eye.

((I was kinda picturing a tree Zanek could hold onto the branches of to keep from falling, but whatever...))

Mira bit her lip as she looked down at Zanek. Idiot! Hold onto a branch next time! She quickly scurried back down the tree and grabbed her things back up. She took the bible over to Zanek and shoved it into his hands, then waited. Come on... it's worked before... please, please, please wake him up!

The Somniac's armor prevents Max from doing any real damaged, he merely jams his sword in a thick leather band holding the armor together.

Max growled. Great. He pulled as hard as he could at the sword, even using his feet to pull it out, hanging upside down.

magine slowly recovers from her impact. she then runs up mhantra's tail, up his neck, she jumps off his head and thrusts her sword into the somniac's heart

When Zanek didn't make any signs of improvement, Mira turned her attention to the battle. I'll have to help them if he can't... Mira left the sword's scabbard with Zanek and hurried with her sword towards the Somniac. She spotted Max's trouble, and ran to help him. How do I use this thing effectively?She pondered as she began swinging her sword at the Somniac's armor, trying to help break Max's sword free.

The Somniac's helmet finally breaks apart, and a large chunk of steel falls on top of Magine. Magine does succeed in cutting through a leather band underneath the Somniac's breast plate. Mira's wild strikes combined with Max finally yanking his sword free tears apart another leather band.

The Somniac's armor starts to sag, massive gaps form in the armor leaving the Somniac exposed. Its four feet tangle in the sagging armor and the Somniac falls on its side.

"NOW!" shouted Max. "ALL AT ONCE!"
He slashed at an exposed area nearest the Somniac's back leg.

magine shrugs off the peice of steal and strikes her sword at the neck of the humanoid portion of the somniac

Mira continued her random attack on the Somniac, letting her frustration from the past few days pour out into the sword's blows.
