Leslie decided to interrupt the arguing duo for the sake of her sanity. "Hellooo..." She said, trying to get their attention. "Would one of you like to tell me just what the heck was going on here?" She motioned around her at the rubble and ruins caused by the battle.

Super Texan shrugs lightly so as not to shake Charge too much.

Inside the airship Demise finally finds what he is looking for on Man of Action. It is a small device similar to a PDA. Demise forces Man of Action to swipe it with his thumb, and he gentely starts tinkering with the device.
"Ah yes here it is, and now if you don't mind get lost," Demise says. With a wave of his hand Man of Action vanishes." Demise walks away, and then he snaps his armored fingers. "Ah yes I nearly forgot, Amalgam and Demoniac will be coming with me. Velkan!" He says loudly. "You may sweep the rest of the pawns off the board now, for Demise hath spoken!" He says breaking out into a very good villainous laugh.

Velkan's mechanical arm breaks through the side of the airship reaching for Nitrox, as Demise, Demoniac, and Amalgam vanish in a flurry of magic.

Outside Man of Action materializes, and he falls on top of the car sitting next to Leslie, Charge, and Super Texan. "Ouch," he says flatly climbing off the top of the car.

"Dammit! He moved too quickly!" exclaimed Nitrox. He turned, pulled his jetpack off his back, and turned it on to maximum power, burning Velkan's mechanical arm and propelling Nitrox away from Velkan. Good thing my scope can digitally track these traitors, once I find a trail, thought Nitrox.

Just then, Nitrox blasted through the hull of the ship, unable to control his jetpack. He quickly began to freefall as he let the jetpack go spinning away to explode. The shockwave jarred him, but not as much as it was going to hurt when he slammed into the concrete streets.

As he imbraced himself, a sudden surprise: wings sprouted from his body. Having no time to marvel, Nitrox used the remaining NX in his system to have the wings act like a parachute. He gently crashed to the ground next to Leslie, Charge, MoA, and Super Texan.

As his wings dissolved, Nitrox mumbled, "Forgive me... I was betrayed... I... can... help..." He lost all of his energy right there as he lay on the ground. Thank God for my birthday... was his final thought before blacking out.

((As Kitorin has been gone for a while I'm gonna move Rintuk for simplicity, and since I'm not interested in waiting anymore I'm going to gather what heros are left))

Rintuk climbs out of an open manhole near the Super Texan, and watches the group curiously.

Fuse floats over toward the group with minor damage. "All of this was a diversion wasn't it," she asks quietly looking at Nitrox.

Frost walks over to the group dragging Treggor who is locked in handcuffs, and shackles, made of ice.

"It seems that this was all masterminded by a single individual," Man of Action says. He climbs to his feet. He looks down at Nitrox. "I bet you were," Man of Action says kicking Nitorx in the gut.

"Someone want to tell me what the heck is going on?" Leslie asked. Everyone else seemed to be at least somewhat knowledgeable of what was going on. "That tin can guy smashed my mp3 player."

charge relases a loud sigh "betrayal"

((I'll pester her. I don't think she quit seeing as she said she'd join Taeru. And her bf's in Florida, so she can't spend too much time with him.))

"Well girl the short story is, that this city is under attack from metahumans, and in accordance with the Abnormal Threat Defense Act you are now drafted." Man of Action's watch starts beeping, and he pulls out a syringe from one of his pouches. He injects it save for just half a cc. He removes the syringe tip, and replaces it with a sterile tip. "This may heal you Charge, but even this minute amount may make you totally dependent."

((yeah... I need more duct tape and a few laptops... think if I super glue laptops to their laps, then they'd post?))

"Say what?" Leslie's jaw dropped. "Since when am I drafted? I'm just a teenager!" Maybe I can get a lawyer and get myself out of this... What's Mike gonna say!?!

"I just said the Abnormal Threat Defense Act, age is not restricted based on the powers the draftee exhibits." Man of Action reaches into another pouch and produces a PDA. He flips through the profiles until he finds Leslie. He shows Leslie a picture of herself on the PDA. "Leslie Mayersford, age 17." He turns the PDA around. "Lets see, sound amplifications powers, you like a guy named..." Man of Action cocks his eyebrow, and sighs. "We were going to wait till you were 18 as you have not abused your metahuman powers, so here is the deal. You help us, or we remove your powers, and wipe your memories of having any powers."

"HEY!" Leslie's jaw dropped at the idea that they had such information on her. "Okay, fine... but only because I'd like to keep my powers, thank you very much." Stupid prejudiced government... "I'm going to need a new mp3 player, though... and portable speakers..."

(and wernt you, silas and the other's supposed to rip her away from that guy, yosei... its not healthy for her to be in an internet relationship... she's hididng from her past... and really needs to take a lesson from that starbucks saying...
