When the heros arrived at their destination Demise and his remaining crew were already gone. Man of Action quickly regrouped his remaining heroes, but suddenly a large cluster of heroes and villains vanished from the face of the Earth.
In the meantime Megalopolis's Los Valos strip came under attack, and currently the heros are investigating.

(The heroes at the area are Man of Action, Amp, Charge, White Knight, and Super Texan)

Man of Action looks very displeased. "First Demise beats us to the facility, then my heroes vanish, and now this!"

Leslie was still a bit freaked out that some of their number had disappeared. "So what do we do next?"

"Look around for anything that will tell us who did this, shrapnel, shell casings, missile debris, strange glowing rocks, something that will point out who attacked this place." Man of Action says turning over a piece of concrete.

charge jumps off of the platform, she starts to scan the area and does what she can to keep her distance from any shadows

Leslie started walking around. I guess I'd better make myself useful. She turned the mp3 player on at a low volume. The song she chose had a steady beat and, by adjusting the sound waves, Leslie managed to turn the waves into some sort of echolocation. While it didn't give her images, really, it did let her know if anything the waves hit was made of a weird material.

charge walks over to leslie, and taps on her shoulder "just curious, what sets you apart of the adverage croud?"

Leslie jumped, the sudden increase of noise caused by Charge talking jolting her concentration. "Ow..." She rubbed her head from the strain of sudden sound change. "That hurt. I control sound waves and can manipulate them in volume, frequency, size, etcetera." Leslie smiled. "And, in the future, give me a moment or two after you tap me before speaking if I am working. I was trying to deal with low-level sounds, which made your voice seem like someone blew an air horn in my ear." She shrugged. "Don't worry about it too much though; my brother does that to me all the time to get my attention."

"You two cut the chatter!" Man of Action yells at Charge and Amp

"Hey boss we got a live one here!" Super Texan yells lifting up a large chunk of rubble. "Ya'll had better put on the nitro, she looks worse than a horse with a broke leg on its way to the glue factory."

Sure enough laying on a pile of debris is an injured woman. Over and over she mutters the word "Mal." Man of Action and the White Knight reach her. Immediatly the Knight starts radiating her with purifying light. Immediatly a dark shadowy substance leaves her wounds.
"Shadow energy," the White Knight announces.

"Recue is coming, can you tell us anything?" Man of Action asks the girl. She spouts one word, and then goes back to mumbling nonsense. Man of Action abruptly hurries over to Amp and Charge with the Super Texan behind him. "I know who did this, and we are going to pay him a visit as soon as we find his pet."

"And what would said pet look like?" Leslie asked.

"Like a six foot tall human animal hybrid wearing a black coat with green trim." Man of Action says.

"Oh..." Leslie looked around. "Well, this is gonna be like looking for a needle in a haystack. Do you think he's still in the area, or what?"

Man of Action holds his finger up in a wait gesture. He pulls out a radio. "Delta six, locate Chimera." There is a pause and the radio buzzes to life. "Delta Six here, we have located Chimera with Skyeye 7, he is currently at the cattle ranch located east of the lake, he appears to be hunting, and is wearing a red shirt underneath his coat."
"Copy Delta, please send transit for four, and tell the Knight where we are going." He looks back at Amp. "The Skyeye sattelites can see the year on a dime laying in the gutter of Century Square during New Year's Eve, so finding one Chimera is a trivial matter."

"And I'm sure you aren't exaggerating at all..." Leslie sighed. "I guess we should get moving then, huh?"

"he'll eventually make another appearance, in the meen time i suggest we figure out where the others went" charge says with little emotion

"No Charge, I have teams of specialists working on that." Man of Action says to Charge. "Oh, Amp I wasn't exaggerating. The dime I dropped was from 1984." A futuristic looking helicopter lands near their location. "Amp, Charge, Texan, Come we have a Chimera to wrangle." Man of Action ducks under the chopper's blades and climbs into the front seat.

"I've been waiting for chance to wrangle that oversized animal kalidescope, my leg still has scars from him." Super Texan says loudly, he ducks down and makes sure to keep a hand on his hat. He hops inside the chopper.
