Nitrox's NX repaired his wound in a flash. He then said, "I vouch for her. Big guy. Wouldn't wanna mess with him."

"The word of a couple of murderers no better than that of Loki," Nail says. This time he does pull his sword back, but as he does a large slash appears in the wall behind Nitrox, but as he strikes there is a loud crack.

A knight is sent flying, and he slams into Nail. Two of the knights pinning Eclipse down are slashed open, and a third Knight is hit by falling rubble.
Malistyrax appears sword drawn. His stamina is still drained from his battle during Nova's Challenge. "Eclipse, Alexis, get Lycan and escape. Find asylum and meet your demise. NOW!"

MoA signals to Charge, Amp and the Super Texan. "We're falling back."

charge takes MoA's order and runs out of the church. once she's out she attaches the flashlight to her ammo belt im never going anywhere without one of these things ever again

Leslie hurried after Charge. "Wait for me!"

Alexis looked at Malistyrax worriedly. He doesn't look so hot. It's my fault. I shouldn't have called him to help me beat Nitrox's team. Not one to disobey his direct order, though, Alexis hurried over to Lycan and grabbed onto her, ready to fly her out. She hesitated, though, and looked back at Malistyrax. "Sir... Shouldn't we stay and help you?"

"There are at least 10 more in my cathedral, I will buy you some time to get Lycan out of here, and I will join you later with Bone and Edge." Malistyrax says kicking some large rubble toward the Knights which are starting to shoot silver bullets, white energy, and magic spells their way.

Though reluctant to go Eclipse resumes her normal form. "Master," she says quietly changing form into an enormous vampire bat. She flies out the massive hole in the collapsed roof.

MoA leaves the Cathedral. "Am I the only one that thinks that those guys are full of it?" He asks Charge, Amp, and Super Texan.

Instantly relieved by the thought that Edge and Bone would be with him, Alexis gave a small smile. "I'm gonna hold you to that!" She created a disk of energy beneath Lycan and herself, letting it lift the two of them up. Putting a shield bubble over the top of the disk, Alexis navigated the 'flying saucer' out of the roof after Eclipse.

Leslie shrugged. "I dunno. They didn't seem too bad..."

I don't like to lie, not even to my enemies, Malistyrax thinks. From the pocket of his vest he produces a cylindrical object. "I hope you two live, because I doubt I will." He pops the top revealing a covered swtich. Despite getting shot repeatedly, Malistyrax holds the detonator up, and he lifts the cover. "Boom!" He yells sinking the button with his thumb.

Outside there are a series of explosions from each part of Malistyrax's Cathedral, causing the cathedral to collapse, followed by a larger explosion. After each explosion Zurubane's phantom laughter can be heard louder and louder.

"NO!" Alexis shieked. She made a quick landing, for between the explosion, the realization that Malistyrax was caught in the explosion, and the laughter of Zurubane, she was having a hard time keeping herself in the air with Lycan. Looking back at the Cathedral, Alexis tried to resist the urge to run back. What do we do now? Where do we go? Questions flooded her brain, including the one she didn't want to think about the most. Will we still be a team?

Nitrox fizzled into view beside Alexis, his wings keeping him aloft. "It was Malistyrax. We bombed his own place," he said. "As for me, I'm hanging with you guys for a bit. Which could be useful. My sphere back there is nearly indestructable and it can do some recon when things settle down."

Eclipse becomes visibly distraught when her Shadow Alliance symbol fades until it is merely a faint scar. For one of the few times in centuries Eclipse is truely upset. Her face tightens up and she sighs. "Edge and Bone ought to be allright, but right now we need to find a temporary shelter, not while OBSCURA and those damn Knights are on the loose. Come on Alex bring Lycan I know where we can rest in peace for the night.

In the ruins of the cathedral several white barriers shift the rubble apart, and some rubble is cut apart.

Alexis nodded glumly as she began to lift Lycan up again. Suddenly, she realized something and turned to Eclipse. "Chimera... we need to find him as well..."

The group had only been walking a short while but already the group is back on the streets of Megalopolis. "I think that should answer your question," Eclipse groans pointing at a newspaper dispensor. On the front page of the paper is a pictue of Chimera being hauled around by MARS inside the new Icebox, and the Headline OBSCURA captures Chimera.

Alexis froze, a look of horror on her face. Staring at the newspaper article, her mind began to race with one, mostly inaccurate, but highly pervasive thought. It's all my fault. I chose Malistyrax, and now he's dead. I left Chimera behind and now he's captured. It's all my fault. "We're getting him out." There was no hesitation in her voice. "I've broken into an Icebox before. If- no... WHEN Bone and Edge meet up with us, they'll help us. Lycan can help too... We c- won't leave him there."

"Correct because when Malistyrax returns, all of his soldiers will be present and in top form," Eclipse says.
By now the group has attracted some attention especially since they are in La Claro, however the various police, and OBSCURA forces halt when Eclipse and company pass through a large ornate gate, that closes behind them. The walk up some stairs and Eclipse presses the buzzer on the door.

For a few minutes there is nothing, but then the door open themselves, and standing at the top of his staircase is a man wearing unique armor. "Welcome to the home of Demise," he says as the doors close themselves behind them.

This was her bright idea? Even as muddled by the day's events as her brain was, Alexis still found it odd that they were taking shelter with a guy who she barely trusted. I guess Eclipse is in charge of us now, though.
